It's that time again, the leaves are changing, weekends are planned around tailgates and football schedules, and my personal favorite—boots and scarf weather is here!! Even though most stores and commercials right now are pushing right through the fall preparing themselves for Christmas presents and décor, I beg you not to forget about dressing your home (as well as yourselves) with the lovely warm tones that surround the season.
When discussing fall décor with my mother recently, she brought up an excellent point. We all spend so much money and time out fitting our houses for Christmas, but that décor only lasts about 4-5 weeks, from the day after Thanksgiving to New Years Day. Fall Décor is acceptable to display for about 3 times that length (from September through Thanksgiving) but we never invest on these décor items.
This season I encourage you to go out and buy some golds, browns, and yes even oranges to brighten up your season!! As long as there are pumpkin latte’s at Starbucks, I give you permission to display your fall holiday décor!
